Importance of Seo for Adsense earnings

There’s no doubt about it; Google AdSense can truly be a a great earner for your site. However, to ensure that your ads get clicked, you need a good dose of traffic come to your site too! And this is what this article is all about.
SEO Best Practices for AdSense
True, you can use Google AdWords to bring in more traffic to your site, which can in turn be the source of your AdSense earnings . However, why pay for traffic when you can get it search engines to send you truckloads of them for free?
Ensure that your site is easy to understand:  From a ‘web site crawler’ point of view. Don’t burden your site with too much high fallutin code! The more difficult it  is for search engine crawlers to go over your site, the tougher it is to figure out your most relevant keywords, which in turn affect the ads shown on your  site. So keep the code and layout simple and you do search engines a favor.
Use meta-tags properly. Ensure that the keywords and key phrases you’re targeting in your content are also placed on your meta tags (e.g. title, keywords, description tags) for easy access of search engine crawlers. Speaking of meta tags, make sure that even images are properly tagged as well. In particular, use the ‘alt’ tag as a way to repeat your main keyword or use a variation of your main keyword in this tag.
Try not to mix-n-match your content. Strive to make each page of content target specific keywords. If you target different topics on one page, search engines will find it hard to place you in a specific category and thus find it hard to send you targeted traffic.
Limit hyperlinks on your pages. Don’t over link to outside sources. Crawlers will keep on going OUT of your site when you do this.
Try not to use duplicate content. By this, try not to take content from ezine and article directories and paste them on your site. If you resort to this, at least use a different article title and write a new opening and closing paragraph.
Write quality content.  Of course, the best thing to do is write original, high-quality content that offer people REAL value. This way, people will naturally gravitate to your site and even pass it off to others as good site to visit. When writing quality content, it doesn’t hurt of course to keep in mind to use the proper mix of keywords. There are plenty of online and free tools to help you with this but in the end it’s stil lall about the quality of content so make sure that you think about the kinds of articles you want to publish on your site and how best you can serve the interests of your target audience.

Common SEO Mistakes

Avoid these common mistakes

1. Having no value proposition: Try not to assume that a site should rank #1 without knowing why it’s helpful to searchers (and better than the competition :)

2. Segmented approach: Be wary of setting SEO-related goals without making sure they’re aligned with your company’s overall objectives and the goals of other departments. For example, in tandem with your work optimizing product pages (and the full user experience once they come to your site), also contribute your expertise to your Marketing team’s upcoming campaign. So if Marketing is launching new videos or a more interactive site, be sure that searchers can find their content, too.

3. Time-consuming workarounds: Avoid implementing a hack rather than researching new features or best practices that could simplify development (e.g., changing the timestamp on an updated URL so it’s crawled more quickly instead of easily submitting the URL through Fetch as Googlebot).

4. Caught in SEO trends: Consider spending less time obsessing about the latest “trick” to boost your rankings and instead focus on the fundamental tasks/efforts that will bring lasting visitors.

5. Slow iteration: Aim to be agile rather than promote an environment where the infrastructure and/or processes make improving your site, or even testing possible improvements, difficult.

Don't Make the Same Mistakes with Google AdSense I Did

Every entrepreneur makes mistakes when starting out. Some are fixable, some don’t matter that much in the long run. Some really bug you and can’t be fixed and you just have to learn to live with them for a while.
I’ve made a series of mistakes with Google’s AdSense online advertising placement service. These mistakes should be easily fixable but aren’t—partly because Google offers no way to contact a customer service rep to answer my questions or solve botches. I’m frustrated since FamiliesGo! already launched and will continue to be frustrated for the foreseeable future.
My mistakes are common ones. I’ll share them to hopefully prevent others from following suit. I’d love if you’d comment below with any solutions, too.
Here’s what happened:
When we were building my website we wanted to know how AdSense would work, what enrolling in it would involve, how easy it would be to install the html code for the ads on the site, and how the ads would look in different places. So I registered for AdSense as well as Google Analytics with a FamiliesGo! gmail address while the in-progress site was still hidden behind a password. This is I think an understandable thing to do, but for Google it’s unforgivably wrong.  My application was rejected when Google’s crawlers were stopped by my password. We figured it was a pretty common error and we’d just reactivate the account once the password came down.
No dice. My programmer followed the instructions for reapplying in Google’s rejection email, but wasn’t able to actually reapply. All she found was an online forum full of people complaining about the same problem.
We started fresh with my personal Gmail account for the sake of expediency and got the ads up on the website. (I’ve made just over $17 so far. Woo hoo!) I assumed that once I was up and running, I would be able to switch AdSense back to the preferred FamiliesGo! gmail account, which I’d successful linked Google Analytics to.
No luck. I’d like to use Analytics and AdSense together because it would be helpful to combine the different data they generate. And I’d like to not have to log in and out of two Gmail accounts every time I switch between the two tools. But I can’t link services that are attached to different emails, and I’m not allowed to change the email address attached to either service. Every time I try to go into my advertising account when I have wrong Gmail account open, AdSense tersely reminds me that I’m mistaken.
To add insult to injury, I created a YouTube channel this week so I can post video travel itineraries. YouTube is owned by Google, and I was asked for a Gmail user name when I created my YouTube account. I offered up the FamiliesGo! email, of course. But after I’d gotten the account all set up I was offered the opportunity to link my YouTube channel to AdSense and collect a portion of the revenue from any ads Google runs against my videos. Another revenue stream? Sign me up!
Oh, no, wait. I can’t because my YouTube channel is associated with a Gmail account that AdSense has rejected. If I go into account settings there is an option to “Change which Google Account is linked to this account”.
But if I click on it I’m told, “Your account is permanently linked to a Google Account.” The message is in red and punctuated with a redder exclamation point to convey hot outrageous this request is.
I only have one video on my channel. I could shut down the account and start again with the personal email address that’s attached to AdSense. But I’m afraid if I try such a clever move two automated Google hands will reach through my monitor and snatch my keyboard away after wagging a finger at me. Until I sort it out I’ve opted to not let Google run ads against my videos. It won’t make money until I do, but that’s what they call a hollow victory, isn’t it?
It’s tempting to keep trying to rectify this mess because it’s all just so foolish you’d think there has to be a way to sort it out. I understand why Google services customers through impersonal online help forums instead of providing real one-on-one help for free services like Hotmail and Facebook do. But I’m paying Google 32 cents out of every dollar in advertising revenue my site generates. For a 32 percent cut I think the company could be responsive to obvious, and easily-solved customer grievances.
But I think I just have to chalk this up to rookie mistakes and hope that better solutions will come my way at some point soon. Maybe I’ll just wind up closing my AdSense account.
As I do so, I’ll hold tight to my keyboard.

Most Common Mistake On Google Adsense

Clicking your ads or being over-smart.

We generally or must say beginners try this. Don’t even try it once. It works always don’t test it. Don’t try to be over smart by bring different dynamic Ip’s for getting clicks it wont benefit you.

Don’t ask your friends or encourage people to click ads on it

They know your Ip and geographical locations so click frequency also comes in consideration.

Block size and ad placing

This is very important . One needs to be aware of which ad blog can be used at which place so that you don’t end up putting the ads at wrong places and again violating the rules or TOS of adsense.

Use right color pallets.

Do not try and mix the ads too much in your content that it becomes very difficult to differentiate. Either you would end up breaking some rules or getting no clicks.

Take care of per page placements

By adsense permissions we can use 3 banners + 3 links and 2 search boxes on a page. This is one of the most significant term and needs to adhered if you are an adsense publisher.
Not using channels. This helps you to track different websites using same adsense or withing same tracking different pages in site.
Track your changes.

If you are not keep a track of your changes you have made or the experiments you have done in order to improve your earnings you wont be able to improve actually.

Not using ad link units.

This is another common and big mistake most people do. For example 728*15 link unit is considered to be one of the best units for getting good CTR but people don’t use it. So one should keep a mix of both banners and links.
